Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: Adisu Negash gave an extraordinary performance at the 2024 Great Ethiopian Run, finishing in second place, just one second behind the winner. His amazing effort in the 10-kilometer race made it one of the most exciting finishes in the event’s history.
The Great Ethiopian Run, one of Africa’s largest and most famous races, took place in Addis Ababa, attracting thousands of runners, including some of Ethiopia’s best long-distance athletes. This year, the race was full of excitement as Negash, just 25 years old, pushed himself to the limit in a fight for the top spot.
From the beginning of the race, it was clear that Negash was ready for a strong performance. He stayed near the front of the pack, keeping pace with the other elite runners. As the race progress, it became clear that the battle for first place would come down to a head-to-head finish between Negash and Benyam Mehary, the defending champion.
